JCI: company visit
Event date: 22/06-2015
The local fire and rescue center in Herning
JCI Herning International is inviting its members and friends to the next 'company visit' on 22nd of June when we will be going to DEMA (Danish Emergency Management Agengy) Midtjylland, or in Danish: Beredskabsstyrelsen.
Ole Mæhlisen, the "Kolonnechef" will be telling us what DEMA is and what it stands for, also giving us a tour. We will get a fascinating insight into the Danish preparedness as help in emergencies.
DEMA Midtjylland in Herning maintains manned emergency preparedness 24/7, and assists the emergency services, the police and other authorities in the event of fire, rescue and environmental tasks.
DEMA Midtjylland educates about 138 conscripts for fire and rescue workers a year. The conscripts receive training in fire, environment, rescue and first aid.
Specialists in international actions:
DEMA Midtjylland has a logistics center for DEMA's international actions. The Agency's equipment and material for international actions is also located in Herning.
The program will be as follows:
18:45-21:15 Introduction and tour by Ole Mæhlisen
21:15-22:00 JCI info & networking
